Removal [02/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [02/2014 - ]

  2. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL STROKE SENSOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  3. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH MOUNTING ADJUSTER 
  5. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING 
    1. Remove the brake pedal return spring from the instrument panel reinforcement assembly and brake pedal support assembly.

  6. REMOVE PUSH ROD PIN 
    1. Remove the clip and push rod pin.

  7. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the wire harness clamp.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and separate the brake pedal support assembly from the instrument panel reinforcement assembly.

    3. Remove the 4 nuts and brake pedal support assembly.

  8. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL PAD 
    1. Remove the brake pedal pad from the brake pedal support assembly.
