Replacement [08/2013 - ]: Procedure
- REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6
- DRAIN MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL
- Stop the vehicle in a level place.
- Remove the manual transmission filler plug and gasket.
*1 Manual Transmission Filler Plug - Using a 10 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the manual transmission drain plug and gasket to drain the manual transaxle oil.
*1 Manual Transmission Drain Plug - Using a 10 mm hexagon socket wrench, install a new gasket and the manual transmission drain plug.
Torque: 45 N*m (459 kgf*cm, 33 ft.*lbf)
- ADD MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL
- Add manual transaxle oil until the oil level is between 0 and 5 mm (0.197 in.) from the bottom lip of the manual transmission filler plug opening.
Manual Transaxle Oil
"TOYOTA Genuine Manual Transmission Gear Oil LV" or "API GL-4 and SAE 75W"
*a 0 to 5 mm Standard Capacity
2.4 liters (2.5 US qts, 2.1 Imp.qts)
- Install a new gasket and the manual transmission filler plug.
Torque: 39.2 N*m (400 kgf*cm, 29 ft.*lbf)
NOTE:- When adding manual transaxle oil, make sure that the vehicle is level.
- An excessively large or small amount of manual transaxle oil may cause problems.
- After adding manual transaxle oil, drive the vehicle and recheck the oil level.
- Add manual transaxle oil until the oil level is between 0 and 5 mm (0.197 in.) from the bottom lip of the manual transmission filler plug opening.
- INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK
- INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
