Removal [08/2013 - 08/2016]: Procedure
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

- REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY
Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - 08/2016]
- REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER

- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE

- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE BATTERY

- REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER

- REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR COVER LH

- REMOVE FRONT FLOOR UNDER REAR REINFORCEMENT

- REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (TWC: Front and Rear Catalyst)

- REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR
- REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
- Move the shift lever to N.
- Separate the end of the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission floor shift assembly.
- Using a screwdriver, pull out the stopper of the transmission control cable assembly.
*a Stopper NOTE:Do not remove the stopper. If it is removed, reinstall it to its original position.
- Rotate the nut counterclockwise approximately 180° and, while holding the nut in that position, separate the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission floor shift assembly.
*a Stopper *b Nut NOTE:Do not rotate the nut excessively as the interior spring may come off and the transmission control cable assembly will not be reusable.
- Disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission control cable support.
- Remove the nut and separate the transmission control cable assembly from the control shaft lever.
*1 No. 1 Transmission Control Cable Bracket *2 Control Shaft Lever - Remove the clip and separate the transmission control cable assembly from the No. 1 transmission control cable bracket.
- Remove the nut and separate the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission control cable support.
- Remove the 2 nuts and then remove the transmission control cable assembly from the vehicle exterior.
- REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE SUPPORT

Perform this procedure only when replacement of the transmission control cable support is necessary.
