Removal [10/2014 - ]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION WARNING:
Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing (Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2014 - 10/2015] or PRECAUTION [10/2015 - ] ).
NOTE:After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work (Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2014 - ] ).
- REMOVE LUGGAGE TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL WARNING:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTE:When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2014 - 10/2015] or INITIALIZATION [10/2015 - ] ).
- REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
- REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6
- REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7
- REMOVE REAR SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY WARNING:
When storing the rear seat airbag assembly, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.
- Remove the 3 hog rings.
- Disengage the claw and disconnect the rear seat wire harness.
- Remove the 3 nuts, separate the 2 brackets and remove the rear seat airbag assembly.TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION
*1 Bracket WARNING:- The nuts must not be reused.
- Make sure that the bench type rear seatback pad is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
- Remove the 3 hog rings.
