Installation [10/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY GASKET 
    1. Install a new throttle body gasket onto the intake manifold with the protrusion of the gasket oriented as shown in the illustration.

  2. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the throttle body with motor assembly and fuel tube bracket with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.
    3. Connect the No. 2 water by-pass hose and No. 3 water by-pass hose to the throttle body with motor assembly and slide the 2 clips to secure them.
    4. Connect the 2 clamps.
  3. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with the hose clamp.
    2. Connect the 2 fuel vapor feed hoses.

      NOTE:
      • Check that there are no scratches or foreign matter around the connecting parts of the fuel tube connector and pipe before performing this work.
      • Connect the fuel tube connector and push the retainer in until the retainer makes a "click" sound to lock the claws of the retainer.
      • After connecting the fuel vapor feed hose to the fuel tube connector, check that the fuel vapor feed hose is securely connected by pulling on the fuel tube connector and the fuel vapor feed hose.
    3. Connect the 2 hinges of the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.

    4. Install the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with the 2 clamps.
    5. Connect the connector.
    6. Connect the ventilation hose to the cylinder head cover and slide the clip to secure it.
    7. Connect the mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector and wire harness clamp to the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.
  4. ADD COOLANT (for Engine) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  5. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Engine) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  6. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 85

  7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    NOTE:
    • Be sure to perform this procedure after removing and reinstalling the throttle body with motor assembly or any throttle body with motor assembly components.
    • Perform the following procedure after replacing the throttle body with motor assembly or any throttle body with motor assembly components. The following procedure should also be performed if the throttle body with motor assembly is cleaned.
    1. Turn the power switch on (IG) without operating the accelerator pedal.
      NOTE:

      If the accelerator pedal is operated, perform the above step again.

    2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3 and clear the DTCs (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2014 - ] ).
    3. Perform "Inspection After Repair" (Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2014 - ] ).
    4. Put the engine in inspection mode (maintenance mode) (Refer to INSPECTION MODE PROCEDURE [10/2014 - ] ).
    5. Start the engine and check that the MIL is not illuminated. After the engine is warmed up, check that the idle speed is within the specified range with the A/C switch off.

      Standard

      900 to 1050 rpm

      NOTE:
      • Be sure to perform this step with all accessories off.
      • Make sure that the shift lever is in P.
    6. Perform a road test and confirm that there are no abnormalities.
