Removal [10/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2014 - ] ).

  2. DISABLE BRAKE CONTROL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE REAR WHEEL 
  4. SEPARATE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY 

    See step  4

  5. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE ADJUSTING HOLE PLUG 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  6. REMOVE REAR DISC 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16

  7. DISCONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  8. REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts, rear axle hub and bearing assembly and parking brake assembly from the rear axle carrier sub-assembly.

      NOTE:

      Use wire or an equivalent tool to keep the parking brake assembly from hanging by the parking brake cable assembly.
