DTC P1644-9E: Starter Circuit Stuck On [11/2016 - ]: Procedure
- CHECK ANY OTHER DTCS OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P16449E)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Stop and Start / Trouble Codes.
- Read the DTCs.
Powertrain > Stop and Start > Trouble Codes
Result Proceed to DTC P16449E is output A DTC P16449E and P060B1C, P060B49 or P060B71 are output B HINT:
If DTCs P16449E and P060B1C, P060B49 or P060B71 are output simultaneously, troubleshoot for DTC P060B1C, P060B49 or P060B71 first.

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (+B TERMINAL POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)

(to Engine Stop and Start ECU)- Disconnect the engine stop and start ECU connector.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition A92-1 (+B) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 9.5 to 14 V Proceed to OK NG

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (ENGINE STOP AND START ECU - SEMICONDUCTOR PWR INTEGRATION ECU)

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ENGINE STOP AND START ECU - BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the engine stop and start ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition A92-6 (DGND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω Proceed to OK NG
