DTC P0606-29: Backup Boost Converter "A" Control CPU Signal Invalid [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ENGINE STOP AND START ECU - BATTERY)

    *a Front view of wire harness connector
    (to Engine Stop and Start ECU)
    1. Disconnect the engine stop and start ECU connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A91-1 (BIN2) - Body ground Always 9.5 to 14 V
      A91-3 (BIN1) - Body ground Always 9.5 to 14 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:  2

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result:  1

    OK 

    See step  2

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ENGINE STOP AND START ECU - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the engine stop and start ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A91-2 (GND2) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      A91-8 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:  1

    OK 

    REPLACE ENGINE STOP AND START ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2016 - ] 

    Result:  2

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
