Removal [10/2015 - 08/2017]: Procedure

  1. DISCHARGE REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. REMOVE HEADLIGHT 
  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  4. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    See step  2

  5. REMOVE BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  6. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  7. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the clamp to disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly from the upper radiator support.

  8. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER UPPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the horn connector.

    2. Remove the 2 clips.
    3. Remove the 3 bolts and front bumper upper reinforcement sub-assembly.
  9. REMOVE RADIATOR UPPER AIR GUIDE PLATE 
    1. Remove the 6 clips and radiator upper air guide plate.

  10. DISCONNECT LIQUID PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [12/2012 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [08/2016 - ]

  11. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [12/2012 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [08/2016 - ]

  12. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS 
    1. Disconnect the 2 cooling fan motor connectors.

      *a w/o Hood Courtesy Switch
    2. Detach the 9 wire harness clamps to disconnect the wire harness.
  13. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR SUPPORT 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 No. 1 radiator supports.

  14. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT

      Remove the 4 bolts and upper radiator support.

  15. REMOVE RADIATOR HOSE CLAMP 
    1. Disconnect the No. 8 and No. 9 water by-pass hose from each radiator hose clamp.

    2. Remove the 2 radiator hose clamps.
  16. DISCONNECT RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Slide the hose clamp and disconnect the radiator hose sub-assembly from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

  17. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 

    See step  5

  18. DISCONNECT NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

    1. Slide the hose clamp and disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass hose from the water by-pass pipe.
  19. DISCONNECT NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

    1. Slide the hose clamp and disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose from the radiator assembly.
  20. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the radiator assembly together with the fan shroud.

      HINT: 

      After removing the radiator assembly, make sure that both lower radiator supports are attached to the fan shroud.

  21. REMOVE RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Slide the 2 hose clamps and remove the radiator hose sub-assembly from the radiator assembly and water by-pass pipe.

  22. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

      Slide the hose clamp and remove the No. 2 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.

  23. REMOVE WATER BY-PASS PIPE 
    1. Detach the 3 clamps, slide the hose clamp and remove the water by-pass pipe from the radiator assembly.

  24. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT 
    1. Remove the 2 lower radiator supports from the fan shroud.
  25. REMOVE NO. 2 FAN SHROUD 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Detach the 2 claws and remove the No. 2 fan shroud.
  26. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the 2 guides and remove the cooler condenser assembly.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [12/2012 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [08/2016 - ]

  27. REMOVE FAN SHROUD 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and fan shroud.
