DTC BMS_f061: Battery Control ECU Power Supply Problem [09/2013 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT AUXILIARY BATTERY 
    1. Inspect the auxiliary battery voltage. Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [09/2013 - ] .

      OK

      Battery is not depleted.

    NG → See step   4 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HV BATT FUSE

    1. Remove the HV BATT fuse from the No. 2 motor compartment room relay block assembly.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      HV BATT fuse terminals Always Below 1 Ω
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *1 No. 2 Motor Compartment Room Relay Block Assembly
      *2 HV BATT Fuse

    NG → CHECK FOR SHORT IN ALL HARNESSES AND CONNECTORS CONNECTED TO FUSE AND REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AUXILIARY BATTERY - ELECTRIC VEHICLE BATTERY)

    1. Disconnect the connector from the auxiliary battery positive terminal.
    2. Disconnect connector h1 from the electric vehicle battery.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive terminal - h1-2 (+B) Power switch off Below 1 Ω
      Battery positive terminal - h1-14 (+B2) Power switch off Below 1 Ω
      Battery positive terminal or h1-2 (+B) - Body ground and other terminals Power switch off 1 kΩ or higher
      Battery positive terminal or h1-14 (+B2) - Body ground and other terminals Power switch off 1 kΩ or higher

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Electric Vehicle Battery Assembly)

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   5 

  4. RECHARGE AUXILIARY BATTERY. Refer to  ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [09/2013 - ] - Step 3 
  5. REPLACE ELECTRIC VEHICLE BATTERY ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2013 - ]
