DTC P0ADB-227: Hybrid Battery Positive Contactor Control Circuit Low; DTC P0ADC-226: Hybrid Battery Positive Contactor Control Circuit High: Procedure
- CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR). Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
NG → CONNECT SECURELY
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (BATTERY PACK WIRE CONNECTOR). Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
NG → CONNECT SECURELY
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - BATTERY PACK WIRE CONNECTOR)
- Turn the power switch off.
- Disconnect the A61 hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.
- Disconnect the On1 battery pack wire connector. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage
Tester Connection Specified Condition SMRB (A61-60) - Body ground Below 1 V NOTE:Turning the power switch on (IG) with the hybrid vehicle control ECU connector disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.
- Turn the power switch off.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance (Check for open)
Tester Connection Specified Condition SMRB (A61-60) - CON2 (On1-3) Below 1 Ω Standard resistance (Check for short)
Tester Connection Specified Condition SMRB (A61-60) or CON2 (On1-3) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (HV RELAY CONNECTOR) See step 6
NG → CONNECT SECURELY
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY PACK WIRE CONNECTOR - HV RELAY ASSEMBLY) WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
- Turn the power switch off and remove the service plug grip. Refer to PRECAUTION
.NOTE:
After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the repair information because this may cause a malfunction.
- Disconnect the n3 HV relay assembly connector. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Tester Connection Specified Condition CON2 (On1-3) - Body ground Below 1 V - Turn the power switch off.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance (Check for open)
Tester Connection Specified Condition CON2 (On1-3) - CON2 (n3-3) Below 1 Ω Standard resistance (Check for short)
Tester Connection Specified Condition CON2 (On1-3) or CON2 (n3-3) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- Turn the power switch off and remove the service plug grip. Refer to PRECAUTION

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
- Connect the battery pack wire connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT HV RELAY ASSEMBLY (SMRB) WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.
- Check that the service plug grip is not installed.
- Remove the HV relay assembly from the vehicle. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Tester Connection Specified Condition h4-1 - s1-1 Below 1 Ω
(When battery voltage (12 V) applied to terminals n3-2 and n3-3)h4-1 - s1-1 10 kΩ or more - Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Specified Condition CON2 (n3-3) - GND (n3-2) 18.8 to 32.1 Ω at -35 to 80°C (-31 to 176°F)
