DTC P0A94-549: DC / DC Converter Performance: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HV) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
    4. Check if DTCs are output.

      HINT: 

      • *1: If any INF codes are output for this DTC, refer to the corresponding diagnostic flowchart above.
      • Turning the power switch on (IG) with the service plug grip and inverter cover removed causes interlock switch system DTC P0A0D-350 to be output.
      • P0A94-549 may be output due to a malfunction which causes the DTCs in the table above to be output. In this case, first troubleshoot the output DTCs in the table above. Then, perform a reproduction test to check that no DTCs are output.

    YES → GO TO  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART  DTC CHART 

    NO: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR). Refer to  PROCEDURE - Step 4 

    NG → CONNECT SECURELY 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY - MOTOR RESOLVER). Refer to  PROCEDURE - Step 3 

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK MOTOR RESOLVER. Refer to  PROCEDURE - Step 4 

    OK → See step   7 

    NG: Go to next step 

  5. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (MOTOR RESOLVER CONNECTOR). Refer to  PROCEDURE - Step 5 

    NG → CONNECT SECURELY 

    OK: Go to next step 

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY - MOTOR RESOLVER). Refer to  PROCEDURE - Step 6 

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   14 

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY - GENERATOR RESOLVER). Refer to  PROCEDURE - Step 3 

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  8. CHECK GENERATOR RESOLVER. Refer to  PROCEDURE - Step 4 

    NG → See step   11 

    OK: Go to next step 

  9. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (GENERATOR RESOLVER CONNECTOR). Refer to  PROCEDURE - Step 5 

    NG → CONNECT SECURELY 

    OK: Go to next step 

  10. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (MOTOR RESOLVER CONNECTOR). Refer to  PROCEDURE - Step 5 

    NG → CONNECT SECURELY 

    OK → See step   13 

  11. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (GENERATOR RESOLVER CONNECTOR). Refer to  PROCEDURE - Step 5 

    NG → CONNECT SECURELY 

    OK: Go to next step 

  12. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY - GENERATOR RESOLVER). Refer to  PROCEDURE - Step 6 

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   14 

  13. REPLACE INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  14. REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL
