Upper Instrument Panel: Disassembly

  1. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 3 screws <B>.
    2. Disengage the 4 guides and remove the defroster nozzle assembly.

  2. REMOVE HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 screws <B>.
    2. Disengage the 2 guides and remove the heater to register duct assembly.

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION (a) Remove the No. 2 instrument panel cushion  .
    NOTE: The No. 2 instrument panel cushion can be reused. However, if the double-sided tape does not have enough adhesion or was torn when the cushion was removed, replace the cushion with a new one.

  4. REMOVE NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION 
    1. Remove the No. 3 instrument panel cushion.
    NOTE: The No. 3 instrument panel cushion can be reused. However, if the double-sided tape does not have enough adhesion or was torn when the cushion was removed, replace the cushion with a new one.

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE (for 4 Speakers) 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Disengage the clamp and remove the No. 2 instrument panel wire.

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE (for 6 Speakers) 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Disengage the clamp and remove the No. 2 instrument panel wire.

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE (for 7 Speakers) 
    1. Disconnect each connector.
    2. Disengage the clamp and remove the No. 2 instrument panel wire.
  8. REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (w/ Navigation System)  (See REMOVAL )
  9. REMOVE FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH (for 7 Speakers)  (See REMOVAL )

  10. REMOVE FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH (for 7 Speakers) 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  11. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  12. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Disengage the 3 claws and remove the No. 1 instrument panel register assembly.

  13. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Disengage the 3 claws and remove the No. 1 instrument panel register assembly.

  14. REMOVE AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the automatic light control sensor.

  15. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 7 Speakers) 
    1. Disengage the 7 claws and remove the No. 1 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly.

  16. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 7 Speakers) 
    1. Disengage the 7 claws and remove the No. 2 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly.

  17. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION 
    1. Remove the No. 1 instrument panel cushion.
    NOTE: The No. 1 instrument panel cushion can be reused. However, if the double-sided tape does not have enough adhesion or was torn when the cushion was removed, replace the cushion with a new one.
