Steering Wheel: Disassembly

  1. REMOVE CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH  (See INSPECTION )

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL ORNAMENT (w/o Steering Pad Switch) 
    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 2 pins to remove the No. 2 steering wheel ornament from the steering wheel spoke sub-assembly.
  3. REMOVE NO. 1 STEERING WHEEL ORNAMENT (w/o Steering Pad Switch) 

    HINT:

    Perform the same procedure as for the No. 2 steering wheel ornament.

  4. REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH LH (w/o Microphone)  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE NO. 1 STEERING WHEEL ORNAMENT (w/o Microphone) 

    HINT:

    Perform the same procedure as for the No. 2 steering wheel ornament.

  6. REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Microphone)  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE LOWER STEERING WHEEL BOSS COVER 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the 4 claws to remove the lower steering wheel boss cover from the steering wheel spoke sub-assembly.

  8. REMOVE STEERING PAD ATTACHING SCREW 
    1. Remove the 2 steering pad attaching screws from the lower steering wheel boss cover.
