COMPRESSOR (for 1AR-FE): Removal

RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM (See REPLACEMENT )
REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH
REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
REMOVE FRONT FENDER MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT (See INSTALLATION )
DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the suction hose sub-assembly from the compressor and pulley.
2. Remove the O-ring from the suction hose sub-assembly.
  NOTE: Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge hose sub-assembly from the compressor and pulley.
2. Remove the O-ring from the discharge hose sub-assembly.
  NOTE: Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

REMOVE COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY WITH PULLEY
1. Disconnect the connector.
2. Remove the 2 bolts and the 2 nuts.

3. Using a "TORX" socket wrench (E8), remove the 2 stud bolts and the compressor assembly with pulley.
