Drive Belt: Installation

  1. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT 
    1. Set the V-ribbed belt onto each part as shown in the illustration except the water pump pulley.
    2. Loosen the V-ribbed belt by turning the belt tensioner clockwise.
    3. Set the V-ribbed belt onto the water pump pulley.
    NOTE: Make sure that the belt is attached to each pulley. In particular, make sure that the belt is securely fitted into the grooves of the crankshaft pulley.
  2. INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH  (See ENGINE UNIT )
  3. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH  (See INSTALLATION )

  4. INSTALL FRONT FENDER MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Clean the vehicle body surface.
      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.
      2. Remove the front fender side protector from the vehicle body.
      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
    2. Clean the front fender moulding sub-assembly RH. (If reusing the front fender moulding sub-assembly RH)
      1. Using a heat light, heat the front fender moulding sub-assembly RH.
      2. Remove the front fender side protector from the front fender moulding sub-assembly RH.
      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
      4. Install a new front fender side protector to the the front fender moulding sub-assembly RH.

    3. Install the front fender moulding sub-assembly RH.
      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and the front fender moulding sub-assembly.
      2. Remove the release paper from the front fender moulding sub-assembly.

        HINT:

        After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. Engage the 3 clips and install the front fender moulding sub-assembly RH.

    4. Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, install the screw.
    5. Install the clip.
  5. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 
  6. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL RH 

    Torque: 103 N*m (1050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf)
