Brake Pedal: Installation

INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Install the nut to the brake pedal support sub-assembly.

2. Install the brake pedal support sub-assembly with the 4 nuts.
  Torque: 13 N*m (132 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf)

3. Engage the 2 clamps to the brake pedal support sub-assembly.

4. Install the brake pedal support sub-assembly to the instrument panel reinforcement with the bolt.
  Torque: 24 N*m (245 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf)
INSTALL STOP LIGHT SWITCH MOUNTING ADJUSTER
1. Install the stop light switch mounting adjuster to the brake pedal support sub-assembly.
INSTALL STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (See INSPECTION )

CONNECT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS
1. Apply lithium soap base glycol grease to the push rod pin.
2. Connect the brake master cylinder push rod clevis to the brake pedal with the push rod clevis pin, and install a new clip as shown in the illustration.

INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING
1. Install the brake pedal return spring between the brake pedal support sub-assembly and brake master cylinder push rod clevis.
INSPECT AND ADJUST BRAKE PEDAL HEIGHT (See DISASSEMBLY )
INSPECT BRAKE PEDAL FREE PLAY (See REASSEMBLY )
INSPECT BRAKE PEDAL RESERVE DISTANCE (See REASSEMBLY )
