Valve Body Assembly: Removal

REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
DRAIN AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION WIRE
1. Disconnect the 7 shift solenoid valve connectors.
2. Remove the bolt and lock plate to disconnect the ATF temperature sensor.

REMOVE VALVE BODY OIL STRAINER ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the 3 bolts and oil strainer.
  NOTE: Be careful as some fluid will come out of the oil strainer.

2. Remove the O-ring from the oil strainer.

REMOVE TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY
1. Support the valve body assembly and remove the 17 bolts and the valve body assembly.
  NOTE: Be careful not to drop the check ball, spring or accumulator piston.

2. Remove the check ball body and spring.
REMOVE MANUAL VALVE
1. Remove the manual valve from the valve body assembly.
