Brake Pedal: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LH  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (w/o Smart Key System)  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (w/ Smart Key System)  (See REMOVAL )
  8. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL  (See REMOVAL )
  9. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  10. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY 

    HINT:

    Refer to the procedures up to "REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER". (See REMOVAL )

  11. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the stop light switch connector and disengage the 2 clamps.

    2. Remove 2 bolts (A), bolt (B) and the No. 1 brake pedal support plate.

    3. Remove the bolt and the brake pedal support assembly.
