B: Go to CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (See CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM )
A: Go to next step.
- Check for DTCs (See DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST
).
- CHECK SFI SYSTEM (VEHICLE SPEED)
- Check for DTCs (See DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST ).
NG: Go to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )
OK: Go to next step.
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SPEEDOMETER)
- Operate the Techstream according to the display and select Active Test (See DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST
).
Combination Meter
DIAGNOSTIC NOTE CHARTTester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note Speed Meter Operation Speedometer 0,40,80,120, 160, 200, 240 or 280 Perform the test with the vehicle stopped and engine idling. HINT:
- Make sure that the vehicle is stopped and the engine is idling. The doors will be locked automatically when performing the speedometer Active Test. This is a normal function.
- The displayed value has the same units (km/h, mph) as the main scale of the vehicle speedometer.
- The needle position should be within the acceptable tolerance.
OK: Needle indication is normal.
NG: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
OK: Go to next step.
- Operate the Techstream according to the display and select Active Test (See DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST
).
- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (VEHICLE SPEED)
- Operate the Techstream according to the display and select Data List (See DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST
).
Combination Meter
