Tire Pressure Warning Reset Switch: Removal
CAUTION:
Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing the tire pressure warning reset switch (see PRECAUTION
).
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Air Conditioning System) (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System) (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RESET SWITCH
- Disengage the 2 claws and remove the tire pressure warning reset switch from the driver side knee airbag.
