Tire Pressure Warning Reset Switch: Removal

CAUTION: Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing the tire pressure warning reset switch (see PRECAUTION ).
  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
  2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Air Conditioning System)  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RESET SWITCH 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the tire pressure warning reset switch from the driver side knee airbag.
