Front Seat Inner Belt Assembly: Removal

CAUTION: Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag) (See PRECAUTION ).

HINT:

The procedure described below is for the driver side. Use the same procedure for both the driver and front passenger sides, unless otherwise specified.

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait for at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag from working (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag).
  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT TRACK COVER  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. for Driver Side:
      1. Disconnect the seat position sensor connector.
      2. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 connectors and the clamp.

      4. Remove the clamp.
    2. for Front Passenger Side:
      1. Disconnect the buckle switch connector.

      3. Using a clip remover, remove the connector and the clamp.
    3. Remove the wire harness from the claw of the front seat cushion inner shield.

    5. Remove the nut and the front seat inner belt.
