Occupant Classification Ecu: Removal

NOTE:

If the wiring connector of the SRS is disconnected with the ignition switch in the ON position, DTCs will be recorded.
Never use SRS parts from another vehicle. When replacing the parts, replace them with new ones.
Never reuse an occupant classification ECU if an airbag has previously deployed in a collision.
Remove the front seat cushion cover pad and front seat cushion cover together, in order to avoid occupant classification sensor malfunctions.

READ IN OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU DATA (See REGISTRATION )
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD INNER RH (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE SEAT TRACK LOWER RAIL PROTECTOR (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD INNER RH (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU
1. Disconnect the connector from the occupant classification ECU.
2. Remove the 2 bolts and front side seat bracket.

3. Remove the 2 bolts and ECU from the bracket.
