TRANSFER CASE OIL SEAL (for RH Side): Replacement

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
DRAIN TRANSFER OIL
1. Remove the drain plug and gasket, and drain the oil.
2. Install a new gasket and the drain plug.
  Torque: 39 N*m (398 kgf*cm, 29 ft.*lbf)
REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY RH (See REMOVAL (2WD) or REMOVAL (4 WD) )
REMOVE DRIVE SHAFT BEARING BRACKET
1. Remove the 3 bolts and bracket from the transaxle.
REMOVE TRANSFER CASE OIL SEAL (for RH Side)
1. Using SST, tap out the oil seal from the transfer.

INSTALL TRANSFER CASE OIL SEAL (for RH Side)
1. Coat a new oil seal lip with MP grease.
2. Using SST and a hammer, tap in the oil seal.
  SST 09316-60011 (09316-00011)
  
  Standard depth:
  
  7.5 to 8.5 mm (0.30 to 0.33 in.)
  
  NOTE: Do not damage the oil seal lip.

INSTALL DRIVE SHAFT BEARING BRACKET
1. Install the bracket to the transaxle with the 3 bolt.
  Torque: 64 N*m (653 kgf*cm, 47 ft.*lbf)
INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY RH (See INSTALLATION (2WD) or INSTALLATION (4WD) )
ADD TRANSFER OIL
INSPECT TRANSFER OIL (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
