FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Sedan) WITH PRETENSIONER: Installation

HINT:

The procedure described below is for the RH side. Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides, unless otherwise specified.

INSTALL FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY
1. Insert the hook into the body hole and install the shoulder belt anchor adjuster with the 2 bolts.
  Torque: 42 N*m (430 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf)

INSTALL SHOULDER BELT ANCHORAGE PLATE COVER
1. Engage the 2 claws and install the shoulder belt anchorage plate cover.

1. Check the angle of inclination required to lock the retractor.
  1. Gently incline the retractor from its initial position. Check that the belt does not lock when the retractor is inclined 15 ° or less in any direction. Also, check that the belt locks when the inclination of the retractor is 45 ° or more.
    NOTE: Do not disassemble the retractor.
    
    If the operation is not as specified, replace the front seat outer belt.

2. Hook the lower stay of the retractor onto the 2 body hooks and provisionally install the retractor with the 2 bolts.
3. Tighten bolt A and then bolt B.
  Torque: 4.9 N*m (50 kgf*cm, 43 in.*lbf) for bolt A
  
  42 N*m (430 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf) for bolt B

4. Connect the pretensioner connector.
  1. Connect the pretensioner connector.
  2. Lock the locking button.
    NOTE: Securely lock the locking button.

5. Install the shoulder anchor with the bolt.
  Torque: 42 N*m (430 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf)

6. Install the anchor plate with the bolt.
  Torque: 42 N*m (430 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf)
7. Check that the ELR locks.
  NOTE:
  - The check should be performed with the front seat outer belt installed.
  - Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat outer belt and the protruding parts of the floor panel to overlap.
  1. With the belt installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.
    If the operation is not as specified, replace the front seat outer belt.

INSTALL LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER
1. Engage the 3 claws and install the lap belt outer anchor cover.

1. Engage the 3 claws and install the seat belt anchor cover cap.

1. Install the rear door opening trim weatherstrip.

1. Install the front door opening trim weatherstrip.
INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE (See INSTALLATION )

CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf)
