Brake Master Cylinder: Removal

DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
NOTE: Immediately wash off any brake fluid that comes into contact with any painted surfaces.
REMOVE BATTERY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE BATTERY TRAY
REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER (See REMOVAL )
DISCONNECT CLUTCH RESERVOIR TUBE (for Manual Transaxle)
1. Slide the clip and disconnect the reservoir tube.
REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER
NOTE: Remove the brake master cylinder after depressing the brake pedal several times and bleeding the vacuum pressure from inside the brake booster.
1. Disconnect the brake fluid level warning switch connector.

2. w/o ABS:
  1. Using SST, separate the 3 brake tubes from the brake tube way.

3. Using SST, separate the 2 brake tubes from the brake master cylinder.

4. w/ABS:
  1. Remove the 2 nuts and remove the brake master cylinder.

5. w/o ABS:
  1. Remove the 2 nuts and brake tube way and remove the brake master cylinder.
6. Remove the O-ring from the brake master cylinder.
