FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (for Hatchback): Removal

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the wire harness from the 2 claws of the instrument panel.
2. Disengage the 10 hooks and remove the instrument panel passenger airbag.

REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE ASSEMBLY
1. Using a thin-bladed screwdriver, release the locking button.
2. Using a thin-bladed screwdriver, disconnect the 2 airbag connectors and remove the instrument panel wire assembly.
