CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (for Hatchback): Removal

CAUTION: Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing (See AIRBAG SYSTEM  ).
  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  2. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle) 
  3. REMOVE SHIFTING HOLE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)  REMOVAL 
  4. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX REAR COVER  REMOVAL 
  5. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX CARPET  REMOVAL 
  6. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY  REMOVAL 
  7. REMOVE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY 
    CAUTION: Confirm that the negative battery terminal is disconnected before performing the operation. Even an impact to only the airbag sensor will cause the airbag to deploy.
    1. Pull the lever down and detach the connector holder.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts and remove the airbag sensor.
