Section 168 ((Door / Hatch)): Hood: Removal

  1. REMOVE HOOD INSULATOR 
    1. Using a clip remover, remove the 7 clips and hood insulator.

  2. REMOVE WASHER NOZZLE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
  3. DISCONNECT WINDSHIELD WASHER HOSE 
    1. Detach the 3 clamps and disconnect the washer hose.

  4. REMOVE HOOD AUXILIARY CATCH HOOK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt and hook.

  5. REMOVE HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and hood.

  6. REMOVE HOOD HINGE ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and hood hinge.

  7. REMOVE HOOD HINGE ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and hood hinge.
  8. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER (See appropriate step(s) under  REMOVAL  ) 
  9. REMOVE ENGINE HOOD LOCK STRIKER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts and hood lock striker.

  10. REMOVE CUSHION RUBBER 
    1. Remove the 4 cushion rubbers.
