Inspection Procedure

CHECK SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (EXI2 TERMINAL VOLTAGE)
1. Remove the skid control ECU assembly with the connectors still connected.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
3. Measure the voltage between terminal EXI2 of the skid control ECU assembly and body ground when the transfer is in the L4 position.
OK:

Standard voltage:

10 to 14 V

OK: END

NG: GO TO Next Step
INSPECT TRANSFER L4 POSITION SWITCH
1. Check the transfer L4 position switch (see ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION ).
NG: REPLACE TRANSFER L4 POSITION SWITCH

OK: GO TO Next Step
CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY - TRANSFER L4 POSITION SWITCH)
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK: GO TO Next Step
CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY - ECM)
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK: REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY
