Inspection Procedure

NOTE:

When replacing the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver, read the IDs stored in the old ECU using the intelligent tester and write them down before removal.
It is necessary to perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ) after registration (see REGISTRATION ) of the transmitter IDs into the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver after the ECU has been replaced.

CHECK TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RESET SWITCH FUNCTION
1. Perform the tire pressure warning reset switch test in TEST MODE PROCEDURE .
  OK: Reset switch ON:
  
  Tire pressure warning light comes on.
  
  Reset switch OFF:
  
  Tire pressure warning light blinks.
OK: END

NG: GO TO next step.

INSPECT TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RESET SWITCH

Remove the reset switch.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance

STANDARD RESISTANCE REFERENCE CHART

Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
3 - 4	ON	Below 1 Ω
3 - 4	OFF	10 kΩ or higher

OK: GO TO next step.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RESET SWITCH - ECU)

Disconnect the T27 switch connector.
Disconnect the T25 ECU connector.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance

STANDARD RESISTANCE REFERENCE CHART

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
T27-3 - T25-8 (CALSW)	Always	Below 1 Ω
T27-3 - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
T27-4 - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
