Inspection Procedure

NOTE:

When replacing the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver, read the IDs stored in the old ECU using the intelligent tester and write them down before removal.
It is necessary to perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ) after registration (see REGISTRATION ) of the transmitter IDs into the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver after the ECU and/or valve and transmitter has been replaced.

READ VALUE OF DATA LIST (SELECT SWITCH)

Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch ON and the tester on.
Select the item below in the DATA LIST, and read its value displayed on the intelligent tester.
Check that the value displayed on the intelligent tester changes when pressing the tire pressure warning select switch.

NG: GO TO next step.

INSPECT TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SELECT SWITCH

Remove the tire pressure warning select switch.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance

STANDARD RESISTANCE REFERENCE CHART

2 - 1	2nd	Below 1 Ω

OK: GO TO next step.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECU - SELECT SWITCH AND BODY GROUND)

Disconnect the T25 ECU connector.
Disconnect the T28 switch connector.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance

STANDARD RESISTANCE REFERENCE CHART
