Engine Cooling System (2AZ-FE): Thermostat: Removal

  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH 
  2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH 
  3. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH 
  4. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH 
  5. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT  (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
  6. DISCONNECT RADIATOR HOSE OUTLET  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE WATER INLET 
    1. Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the water inlet from the cylinder block.

  8. REMOVE THERMOSTAT 
    1. Remove the gasket from the thermostat.
