Back Door: Disassembly

  1. REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM COVER  (See REMOVAL )
  2. REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR GROMMET  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE BACK WINDOW PANEL TRIM UPPER 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws, the 4 clips and remove the back window panel trim upper.

  5. REMOVE ASSIST STRAP HOLE COVER 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the assist strap hole cover.

  6. REMOVE ASSIST STRAP ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt and assist strap assembly.

  7. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the 16 clips and remove the back door trim panel assembly.

  8. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR  (See REMOVAL )
  9. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM COVER RH 
    1. Remove the 3 clips and back door trim cover RH.

  10. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM COVER LH 
    1. Remove the 3 clips and back door trim cover LH.

  11. REMOVE REAR SPOILER (w/ Rear Spoiler)  (See REAR SPOILER )
  12. REMOVE BACK DOOR WEIGHT 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts, the clamp and back door weight.

  13. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Separate the rink rod as shown in the illustration.

    2. Separate the back outside handle control cable.
    3. Disconnect the connector and remove the clamp.
    4. Remove the 3 bolts and back door lock assembly.

  14. REMOVE BACK DOOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY OUTSIDE 
    1. Remove the rink rod.
    2. Remove the 2 nuts and back door handle assembly outside.

  15. REMOVE HIGH MOUNTED STOP LIGHT BULB  (See REASSEMBLY )
  16. REMOVE HIGH MOUNTED STOP LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE  (See REASSEMBLY )
  17. REMOVE HIGH MOUNTED STOP LIGHT ASSEMBLY  (See REASSEMBLY )
  18. REMOVE HIGH MOUNTED STOP LIGHT GASKET 
  19. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY OUTSIDE  (See INSTALLATION )
