On-Vehicle Inspection

1. Pull the lever upward with a force of approximately 196 N (20 kgf, 44 lbf) and count the number of clicks.

   OK: 4 to 6 clicks 

HINT:

Before adjusting the parking brake, make sure that the paring brake shoe clearance has been adjustment (see REASSEMBLY  ).

1. Loosen the lock nut and turn the turn buckle until the lever travel is correct.
2. Tighten the lock nut.

   Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf)
