Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT DLC3 TERMINAL VOLTAGE (TC TERMINAL) 
    1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in DLC3 TERMINALS VOLTAGE  .

      Standard: 

      DLC3 TERMINALS VOLTAGE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D1-13 (TC) - D1-4 (CG) IG switch ON 11 to 14 V

    1. NG: Go to step   3 
    2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP. 
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - DLC3) 
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in SKID CONTROL ECU AND DLC3 TERMINALS RESISTANCE  .

      Standard: 

      SKID CONTROL ECU AND DLC3 TERMINALS RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      S1-21 (TC) - D1-13 (TC) Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in SKID CONTROL ECU TERMINALS AND BODY GROUND RESISTANCE  .

      Standard: 

      SKID CONTROL ECU TERMINALS AND BODY GROUND RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      S1-2 (TC) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (TC CIRCUIT) 
    2. OK: REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DLC3 - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in DLC3 TERMINALS AND BODY GROUND RESISTANCE  .

      Standard: 

      DLC3 TERMINALS AND BODY GROUND RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      D1-4 (CG) - Body ground Below 1 Ω

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR(GND CIRCUIT) 
    2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP. 
  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - DLC3) 
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in SKID CONTROL ECU AND DLC3 TERMINALS RESISTANCE  .

      Standard: 

      SKID CONTROL ECU AND DLC3 TERMINALS RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      S1 - 21 (TC) - D1 - 13 (TC) Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in SKID CONTROL ECU TERMINALS AND BODY GROUND RESISTANCE  .

      Standard: 

      SKID CONTROL ECU TERMINALS AND BODY GROUND RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      S1-21 (TC) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (TC CIRCUIT) 
    2. OK: REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (SEE  REPLACEMENT  )
