Front Suspension Bar ASSY Tower: Overhaul
- REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION BAR ASSY TOWER
- Placing a wooden block in-between, support the front suspension lower arm sub-assy No. 1 LH and the front suspension lower arm sub-assy No. 1 RH.
- Remove the 6 nuts and then remove the front suspension bar assy tower.
- REMOVE TOWER BAR BRACKET SUB-ASSY LH
- Remove the bolt and then remove the tower bar bracket sub-assy LH from the front suspension bar assy tower.
- REMOVE TOWER BAR BRACKET SUB-ASSY RH
- Remove the bolt and then remove the tower bar bracket sub-assy RH from the front suspension bar assy tower.
- INSPECT FRONT SUSPENSION BAR ASSY TOWER
- Cause the front suspension bar assy tower to expand and contract 4 times or more. Check that there is no abnormal resistance/noise, operational resistance, bends/scratches on the rod or oil leakage. If these are found, replace the front suspension bar assy tower with a new one.
NOTE: When disposing of the front suspension bar assy tower (See DISPOSAL ). - TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN TOWER BAR BRACKET SUB-ASSY LH
- Install the tower bar bracket sub-assy LH to the front suspension bar assy tower with the bolt.
- INSTALL TOWER BAR BRACKET SUB-ASSY RH
- Install the tower bar bracket sub-assy RH to the front suspension bar assy tower with the bolt.
Torque: 52 N.m (530 kgf.cm, 38 ft.lbf)
- Install the tower bar bracket sub-assy RH to the front suspension bar assy tower with the bolt.
- INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION BAR ASSY TOWER
- Install the front suspension bar assy tower with the 6 nuts.
Torque: 39 N.m (398 kgf.cm, 29 ft.lbf)
- Install the front suspension bar assy tower with the 6 nuts.
- FULLY TIGHTEN TOWER BAR BRACKET SUB-ASSY LH
- Fully tighten the nut.
Torque: 52 N.m (530 kgf.cm, 38 ft.lbf)
- Fully tighten the nut.
