Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
When replacing the brake actuator assy, perform zero point calibration (See
CALIBRATION ).
- INSPECT VSC OFF INDICATOR LIGHT
WHEN USING HAND-HELD TESTER:
- Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Start the engine.
- Select the "TRAC OFF LIGHT" in the ACTIVE TEST and operate the TRAC OFF indicator light on the hand-held tester.VSC OFF INDICATOR LIGHT (USING HAND-HELD TESTER)

OK:
The TRAC OFF indicator light is turned ON or OFF in accordance with the hand-held tester.
WHEN NOT USING HAND-HELD TESTER:
- Turn the ignition switch off and disconnect the connector from the skid control ECU.
- Ground terminal WT of the skid control ECU.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Check that the TRAC OFF indicator light comes on.
OK:
The light is turned ON or OFF in accordance with the connecting condition of terminals GND and WT.
NG: Go to step 4
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT TRACTION CONTROL SWITCH
- Remove the traction control switch.
- Disconnect the traction control switch connector T6.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in TRACTION CONTROL SWITCH .
Standard:
TRACTION CONTROL SWITCHTester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition T6-4 - T6-1 Pushed in (ON) Below 1 Released (OFF) 10 k or higher NG: REPLACE TRACTION CONTROL SWITCH
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - TRACTION CONTROL SWITCH)
- Disconnect the skid control ECU connector S1 and the traction control switch connector T6.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in SKID CONTROL ECU - TRACTION CONTROL SWITCH .
Standard:

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (See step 3 in REPLACEMENT )
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - COMBINATION METER)
- Disconnect the skid control ECU connector S1 and combination meter connector C8.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in SKID CONTROL ECU - COMBINATION METER (1 OF 2)

Standard:
SKID CONTROL ECU - COMBINATION METER (1 OF 2)Tester Connection Specified Condition S1-35 (WT) - C8-15 Below 1 - Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in SKID CONTROL ECU - COMBINATION METER (2 OF 2) .

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
- Check the combination meter assy (See COMBINATION METER ).
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (See step 11 in REPLACEMENT )
OK: REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (See step 3 in REPLACEMENT )
