Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
When replacing the brake actuator assy, perform zero point calibration (See
CALIBRATION ).
- CHECK FUSE (ABS NO. 3)
- Remove the ABS No. 3 fuse from the engine room J/B.
- Check continuity of the ABS No. 3 fuse.
Standard:
FUSE (ABS NO. 3)ABS No. 3 fuse Below 1 (Continuity) NG: CHECK FOR SHORT IN ALL HARNESS AND CONNECTORS CONNECTED TO FUSE AND REPLACE FUSE
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (+BS TERMINAL VOLTAGE)
- Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (+BS TERMINAL VOLTAGE) .
Standard:
SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (+BS TERMINAL VOLTAGE)Tester Connection Specified Condition S1-31 (+BS) - S1-1 (GND2) 10 to 14 V S1-31 (+BS) - S1-32 (GND1) 10 to 14 V OK: Go to step 4
NG: Go to next step
- INSPECT HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in SKID CONTROL ECU - BODY GROUND .
Standard:
SKID CONTROL ECU - BODY GROUNDTester Connection Specified Condition S1-1 (GND2) - Body ground Below 1 S1-32 (GND1) - Body ground Below 1 NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - BODY GROUND)
OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - BATTERY)
- RECONFIRM DTC
- Clear the DTCs (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Are the same DTCs recorded? (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR )
NO: END
HINT:
These DTCs may be memorized due to a malfunction in the connector terminal.
YES: REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (See step 3 in REPLACEMENT )
