Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT CLOCK ASSY (FUEL, TAU, TAUB, SPD)
    1. Remove the clock assy with the connector still connected.
    2. Measure the voltage between terminal 5 (FUEL) of the clock assy and body ground.

      CLOCK ASSY - VOLTAGE TABLE

      Fuel Level Voltage (V)
      F 4.4 +/- 0.1
      E 0.6 +/-- 0.1
    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    4. Measure the voltage between terminal 9 (TAUB) of the clock assy connector and body ground.

      Standard: 10 to 14 V

    5. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    6. Measure the voltage between terminal 7 (TAU) of the clock assy connector and body ground.

      Standard: 10 to 14 V

    7. Connect the oscilloscope to the terminals 1 (GND) and 7 (TAU) of the clock assy connector.
    8. Start the engine.
    9. Check the signal wave form (TAU signal).
