Inspection Procedure

NOTE: When replacing the ABS & TRACTION actuator assy, perform zero point calibration (see CALIBRATION ).
  1. INSPECT DLC3 TERMINAL VOLTAGE (DLC3 TERMINAL VOLTAGE) 
    1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.

    Standard: 

    VOLTAGE CONDITION

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    D1-13 (TC)-D1-4 (CG) IG switch ON 10 to 14 V

    NG: Go to step   4 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - DLC3) 
    1. Disconnect the ECM connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      RESISTANCE CONDITION (1 OF 9)

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      E6-20 (TC)-D1-13 (TC) Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

    Standard: 

    RESISTANCE CONDITION (2 OF 9)

    Tester Connection Specified Condition
    D1-13 (TC) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - SKID CONTROL ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector and the ECM connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      RESISTANCE CONDITION (3 OF 9)

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      E6-24 (ENG+) - S1-9 (ENG+) Below 1 Ω
      E6-30 (ENG-) - S1-23 (ENG-) Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

    Standard: 

    RESISTANCE CONDITION (4 OF 9)

    Tester Connection Specified Condition
    S1-9 (ENG+) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
    S1-23 (ENG-) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: REPLACE ABS & TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSY (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DLC 3 - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

    Standard: 

    RESISTANCE CONDITION (5 OF 9)

    Tester Connection Specified Condition
    D1-4 (CG) - Body ground Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - DLC3) 
    1. Disconnect the ECM connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      RESISTANCE CONDITION (6 OF 9)

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      E6-20 (TC)-D1-13 (TC) Below 1Ω
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

    Standard: 

    RESISTANCE CONDITION (7 OF 9)

    Tester Connection Specified Condition
    D1-13 (TC) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - SKID CONTROL ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector and the ECM connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      RESISTANCE CONDITION (8 OF 9)

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      E6-24 (ENG+) - S1-9 (ENG+) Below 1 Ω
      E6-30 (ENG-) - S1-23 (ENG-) Below 1Ω
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

    Standard: 

    RESISTANCE CONDITION (9 OF 9)

    Tester Connection Specified Condition
    S1-9 (ENG+) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
    S1-23 (ENG-) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: REPLACE ABS & TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSY (SEE  REPLACEMENT  )
