Front Passenger Airbag Assembly: Removal
NOTE:
- If the wiring connector of the SRS is disconnected and the ignition switch is in ON position, DTCs will be recorded.
- Never use the airbag parts from another vehicle. When replacing parts, replace them with new parts.
NOTE:

REMOVAL

- DISCONNECT AIRBAG CONNECTOR
- Remove the glove compartment door.
- Remove the connector cover from the lower instrument panel.NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
- Disconnect the front passenger airbag connector.
- REMOVE CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
- REMOVE COMBINATION METER
- REMOVE FRONT PILLER GARNISHES
- REMOVE NO. 1 AND NO. 2 SPEAKER PANEL
- REMOVE CENTER CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL
- REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
- Remove the 2 nuts and pry up the 6 clips.
- Remove the front passenger airbag assembly.
CAUTION:- Do not store the front passenger airbag assembly with the airbag deployment side facing downward.
- Never disassemble the front passenger airbag assembly.
