Inspection Procedure

1. Check that stop light comes on when the brake pedal is depressed and turns off when the brake pedal is released.

   OK: Stop lamp switch function is normal. 

1. NG: REPAIR STOP LIGHT SWITCH CIRCUIT 

OK: Go to Next Step. 

1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
2. Measure the voltage between terminal STP of the skid control ECU connector and the body ground when the brake pedal is depressed.

   Standard: 

   Brake pedal is depressed: 10 to 14 V 

   Brake pedal is released: O V

1. OK: CHECK AND REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 

NG: Go to Next Step. 

1. NG: CHECK AND REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

OK: CHECK AND REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (SEE  REPLACEMENT  )
