Inspection Procedure

NOTE: When replacing the master cylinder solenoid, perform zero point CALIBRATION .

Inspect VSC OFF indicator light.
PREPARATION:
1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector S29.
2. Ground the WT terminal.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
CHECK:

Check that the VSC OFF indicator light comes on.

OK:

VSC OFF indicator light comes on.
1. NG : Go to step 2.
2. OK : Replace master cylinder solenoid (See DISASSEMBLY ).
Check for open or short circuit in harness and connector between master cylinder solenoid (skid control ECU) and combination meter.
1. NG : Repair or replace harness or connector.
2. OK : Go to next step.
Inspect combination meter (See CIRCUIT ).
CHECK:

Check combination meter.

OK:

Combination meter is normal.
1. NG : Check and repair combination meter.
2. OK : END.
