Inspection Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Toyota Tundra and 2005 Toyota Tundra. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: When replacing the master cylinder solenoid, perform zero point CALIBRATION  .
  1. Check AUTO LSD switch. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Disconnect the skid control ECU connector S29.

    CHECK: 

    Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    OK: 

    SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR S29 VOLTAGE SPECIFICATIONS

    Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
    S29-43 (CSW) - Body ground AUTO LSD Switch ON Below 1 V
    S29-43 (CSW) - Body ground AUTO LSD Switch OFF 8 to 14 V

    HINT:

    The signal is applied to terminal CSW only when the AUTO LSD switch is pressed.

    1. NG : Repair or replace AUTO LSD switch circuit. 
    2. OK : Go to next step. 
  2. Check for open or short circuit in harness and connector between AUTO LSD switch and master cylinder solenoid (skid control ECU). 
    1. NG : Repair or replace harness or connector. 
    2. OK : Go to next step. 
  3. Check for open or short circuit in harness and connector between AUTO LSD switch and body ground. 
    1. NG : Repair or replace harness or connector. 
    2. OK : Replace master cylinder solenoid (See  DISASSEMBLY  ).
