Shift Solenoid DSL

NOTE: The following information can also be used to diagnose DTC P0770. For testing of shift solenoid SLT, go to appropriate DTC 1760. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS .

Raise and support vehicle. Remove transaxle oil pan. See LUBRICATION in appropriate SERVICING article. Remove shift solenoid (DSL). See Figure. Connect battery voltage to solenoid. Apply 71 psi (5 kg/cm2 ) of compressed air to solenoid with battery voltage connected. See Fig 1. With battery voltage connected, air should not pass through solenoid. Disconnect voltage to solenoid. Air should now pass through solenoid. Replace solenoid as necessary.
