Park/Neutral Position Switch: Installation

To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten PNP switch bolts to 48 INCH lbs. (5.4 N.m). Install NEW lock plate and tighten lock plate nut to 61 INCH lbs. (6.9 N.m). Bend tabs on lock plate to secure nut. See Fig 1. Tighten control shaft lever nut to 133 INCH lbs. (15 N.m). Install shift control cable to shaft lever, and tighten nut to 133 INCH lbs. (15 N.m).
