Inspection Procedure

- Actuator check.
Preparation
- Set to the actuator check mode. See 5.
- Press the DEF switch and change to step operation.
Check: Press the DEF switch in order and check the condition of air flow mode. If OK , the mode changes with the change in the temperature setting as shown in Fig 1.
- If OK: , proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table. See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .
- NG: Go to step 2 .
- Check air outlet control servomotor.
PREPARATION: Remove air outlet control servomotor. See step 2 of INSPECTION .
Check: Connect positive (+) lead to terminal 4 and negative (-) lead to terminal 5. If OK , the lever moves smoothly to FACE position.

- NG: Replace air outlet servomotor.
- OK: Go to step 3 .
- Check for open and short in harness and connector between A/C amplifier and air outlet servomotor

- NG: Repair or replace harness or connector.
- If OK , check and replace A/C amplifier.
