Removal & Installation (Land Cruiser)

- Manufacturer recommends removing throttle body from intake manifold with hoses attached and electrical connectors installed for access to Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor. Remove intake manifold cover located on top of engine, above intake manifold.
- Remove air intake hose with intake air connector located between throttle body and air cleaner assembly. Drain cooling system. Disconnect accelerator cable from throttle body. Remove throttle body bolts/nuts, throttle body and gasket from intake manifold.
- Disconnect electrical connector at ECT sensor. See ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR LOCATION table. Remove ECT sensor and gasket.
- To install, reverse removal procedure using NEW gaskets. Tighten ECT sensor and throttle body bolts/nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Fill cooling system.
