Brake Pads Removal and Installation: Installation

Measure the minimum brake shoe lining thickness. Refer to Brake Pads Inspection .
Install the brake pads into the caliper.
Push the piston inward, if needed.

Pivot the caliper downward and install the bolt.
Tighten:

Tighten the lower caliper mounting bolt to 27 N.m (20 lb-ft).
Install the rear wheels. Refer to WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Lower the vehicle.
